First up we have House of Monkeys who are an Australian young artists’ music collective blending original songs with improvised compositions, drawing from soul, blues, jazz and funk. Known for their jam-driven approach, the band thrives on creative collaboration, spontaneity and dynamic live performances, delivering an energetic, expressive sound that celebrates musical freedom and emerging talent.

Then we have one of NSW Central Coast’s emerging talents, Kalen Hogan, as he launches his new EP single, Ratio. Kalen has swiftly become a notable figure to look out for in the alternative indie rock scene.

Kalen’s new single “Ratio” channels the building frustration that comes from being controlled by someone’s false narrative.  The song captures the feeling of being trapped in one-sided arguments where reality is distorted, your truth is ignored and the ability to stay neutral snaps.

The grunge-drenched guitars grind through the mix like a warning siren, matching the weight of the emotions behind the lyrics. Dirty, distorted, and unapologetically raw, they back a voice that’s done staying quiet.
